Hello! This is my first year here at CTHS and my second as a school nurse. I came to Alaska 20 years ago while working as a traveling nurse but was able to work overseas and in many lower 48 states before making this my home. I am grateful for my (ugh) 28 years of experience as a nurse in NICU, Med-Surg/ER, Family Practice, Pediatrics and clinical nurse in Orthopodedic surgery. These varied field specialties will all be tapped into as your school nurse! I have always considered myself a full-time mom to my son and daughter, wife of 18 years to my gift of a husband and part-time nurse! As a plug for the nursing profession...it offers a wide variety of jobs and schedules within the nursing field with a HIGH degree of job satisfaction at the end of a work day!
If dreams came true I'd love to be a back-up singer for Vince Gill, Mercy Me, Celine Dion or maybe Carrie Underwood!
