Janet joins the CTHS staff with many years of teaching experience.  Janet first taught on the island of Adak teaching Business and Computers. But as in any small school district she also taught Economics, World Geography and PE at various times for grades 3-12.

After Adak schools were closed, Janet taught one year at Central School of Science in Anchorage before moving to the Mat-Su School District where she taught at Houston Jr. Sr. High, Houston Middle, SeeUonline, and Wasilla High before coming here.  Janet also holds a Travel Specialist diploma.

Even though much is available online, there is nothing like a good book to read.
