Dr. Kenneth Burnley recently held the position of Senior Resident Fellow at the University of Michigan, a position funded by the Kellog Foundation to develop an intervention model for struggling middle school students. He has held the Superintendent’s position at three school districts over a twenty-four year period. They were; Fairbanks North Star Borough School District, Colorado Springs School District Eleven, and Detroit Public Schools. Serving student populations of 163,000 (Detroit Public School), 35,000 (Colorado Springs), and 16,000 (Fairbanks), Burnley oversaw operating budgets exceeding $2 billion annually. Dr. Burnley earned a master of arts and a doctorate of educational administration from the University of Michigan.
